Round Britain training: in a Grabner Holiday

Next year sees an attempt by the Explorer School at rounding Britain in some form of inflatable craft. For training we're thinking of using the tried and tested Grabner holiday inflatable canoe as used by the incredible Audrey Sutherland in her epic trips along the Alaskan coast. If it's good enough for her it's good enough for us.

(That's not Audrey Sutherland in the pic by the way) We'll also be using a spray deck- definitely need one of those landing on West Bay beach in a high wind.

The advantages of the Holiday for training is its low weight- only 16kg- and its small size when rolled. As Grabner's use rubber they are the least bulky packed inflatables going.
