As well as his main interest in making expeditions to remote places Robert Twigger has lectured in Oxford on Lifeshifting, his tried and tested method of changing your life effectively. He has appeared at numerous literary festivals including Edinburgh, Brighton and Dartmouth and has toured Britain giving seminars on how to write and publish books.

He is a qualified Aikido instructor (1st dan black belt Yoshinkan Tokyo honbu dojo) and has taught martial arts both to civilians and the military around the world.

He is currently offering talks in leadership in extreme situations, team building and Lifeshifting.
